Corruption in Nepal

Corruption,abuse of entrusted authority for personal gain, is a scourage that no society is free of and it holds true of Nepal. Realizing its ill effets ,around 1768 AD, it was referred as the worst crime. Bribe givers/ takers were taken as the worst ciminals of lthe lmation. Corruption as a state crome was bigger problem during the Rana rule from 1851 as then ruler turned state coffers into personal property .Only after the dawn of democracy in 1951, legal provisions and institutions were set up to combat corruption. read more..

The General Body

The general body comprising of all jgac members, is the supreme governing body of jgac. It meets once a year. Special general body meeting can be called in special circumstances.

The Executive Committee

There is an executive committee of seven office bearers elected for a three years terms, which is responsible for carrying out the organizations activities. The executive committee elects office bearers like the president, vice president, general secretary and the   strategic plan.

Treasurer.  For working convenience it can constitute different steering committees and sub- committee when ever necessary.

Advisory Council

JGAC has recently constituted an advisory council. The executive committee can nominate any distinguished person, including foreigner a member of this body.
